What can we expect from Ruturaj and his team?

Before discussing Ruturaj Gaikwad and his captaincy, one consistent element in the last IPL seasons where CSK participated was skipper MS Dhoni. However, this time, he is not in charge, as Gaikwad holds the captaincy office now. So far, Gaikwad has performed decently well as the captain of CSK, although the team has experienced inconsistency in their performances during the IPL 2024. Looking at the points table, after 14 games, they have 7 wins in the pocket but also suffered 6 losses.

The upcoming match between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings will give us a clear picture of who is going into the playoffs. Currently, the odds favor CSK. It will be interesting to see whether they can capitalize on this scenario.
