According to sources close to the development, as reported by The Economic Times, Garena will be setting up servers in Navi Mumbai, India, in collaboration with Yotta Data Services.
Garena Gearing Up for Free Fire India Launch
This relocation comes after months of discussions with Indian authorities. Yotta is currently working with Garena’s headquarters to rigorously test the servers, ensuring they can handle the high demands of streaming and minimize lag. This testing phase is crucial for a smooth gaming experience, especially considering the importance of esports tournaments in India.
Garena confirmed these localization efforts by stating, “Free Fire India will feature a fully localised infrastructure tailored to meet the needs and requirements of the authorities and our stakeholders in India.”
