Openers beware! Trent Boult, the powerplay destroyer, is coming your way. The Rajasthan Royals (RR) pacer has claimed his 24th first-over wicket in the RR vs LSG match. Bowling in the first over of a match for the 78th time, the left-arm pacer sent Quinton de Kock back to the pavilion and gave his side an important first breakthrough on the fifth ball of the second inning.
Most first over wickets in the IPL
Trent Boult is just behind Bhuvneshwar Kumar when it comes to taking the most first-over wickets. The Indian pacer has just three more wickets than the Kiwi fast bowler but has bowled 36 more overs than him. With at least 13 more matches to be played, there is a possibility that Boult will overtake Bhuvi on the list by the end of the IPL 2024 season.
