Team India’s wicketkeeper batter KS Bharat disappointed yet again after throwing away his wicket on Day 1 of the IND vs ENG 2nd Test in Visakhapatnam on Friday.
Coming at number 7, Bharat made a positive start, hitting two boundaries and a six in 23 balls before he gifted away his wicket just before the stumps.
He gifted a easy catch to backward point while playing a cut shot off Rehan Ahmed’s delivery in the 91st over of Indian innings.
Another failure has now put questions over Bharat’s place in the Playing XI.
The 30-year-old has failed to grab his chances in the absence of Rishabh Pant, managing just 215 runs in 11 innings with not a single fifty to his name.
With in-form Dhruv Jurel also in the squad, another bad outing in the second innings, if India plays, will put curtains for his India Team career.
