Veteran batter Cheteshwar Pujara has hit a roadblock in making a potential India comeback after he was retired hurt during Saurashtra’s game against Services in the Ranji Trophy on Monday.

Pujara came out to bat at 4 on Sunday but was receiving medical attention in between overs for a stiff back.

The 36-year-old, however, couldn’t continue on Monday and retired hurt after scoring 9 off 31 balls. The injury is certainly a big blow for Pujara, who is eyeing a comeback in India’s Test side.
