Former skipper Steve Smith was named as the captain as Australia announced the ODI squad for the AUS vs WI series. The three-match ODI series commencing from February 2 marks the return of the World Cup 2023 champs to the ODI circuit.

Noticeably, the man who led Australia in the ODI World Cup – Pat Cummins- is missing from the squad. His pace counterpart Mitchell Starc has also been left out of the 50-over format series. Travis Head, Australia’s hero from 2023, has been named deputy to Smith.
