Warner ended his Test career as the Australian opener with the most Test runs, surpassing Matthew Hayden.

David Warner decided to retire from Test cricket after the AUS vs PAK Test series concluded. The opener had announced his retirement months ago and received a fairytale farewell from friends and fans at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The aggressive batter had earned himself respect among peers for his tough attitude and propensity to score when it mattered the most.

As David Warner steps away from Test cricket, he decides to share a heartfelt message on his social media. The southpaw called playing for Australia an incredible privilege. The batter claimed that Test cricket brought the best out of him and taught him a great many things.

Warner also thanked his Aussie teammates, coaches, and support staff while confirming that he’ll be back in cricket, but this time as a commentator.
