Garena Free Fire is returning with a bang. With the release of Free Fire India, Garena is set to host the 2023 edition of Free Fire India Championship aka FFIC 2023. The event will be open for all players all over India. The winners of FFIC 2023 will make their way to the biggest Free Fire event of the year named as Free Fire World Series 2023. The global event is set to take place in Thailand later this year. FFIC 2023 will be a LAN event in Uttar Pradesh supported by U.P. Government.
“Today, the Uttar Pradesh Government under the leadership of Sh. Yogi Adityanath ji has paved the ideal roadmap to actualise the potential of the esports industry in India. One has to take note that Garena’s relaunch of its popular title “Freefire” along with Yotta Datacentres is a step that will become the most feasible formula for global publishers to find a Government-aligned way to work in India. This is a game-changer, a watershed moment. The UP administration, Darshan Hiranandani (Yotta datacentres) and Garena to have structured an India-first approach strongly safeguarding Bharat’s data sovereignty.” Abhishek Issar (Founder, UNIV Sportatech)
