PKL 2022 LIVE: UP Yoddhas have signed experienced all-rounder Sandeep Narwal as a mid-season addition in the Pro Kabaddi League 2022 on Wednesday. Sandeep is a veteran in the league, who last played for Dabang Delhi in the last edition of the league. Announcing the signing, UP Yoddhas posted an update on the team’s official Twitter account with the caption, “Mid-season signing ho to aisi,” whoch means Mid-season signing should be like this and added, “UP Yoddhas welcome the amazing all-rounder Sandeep Narwal to the family.”
Sandeep Narwal has played a total of 149 matches in the league so far and has 623 raid points to his name. He is also third in the list of most tackle points in the history of the league having scored 348 tackle points to his name. He is only behind Fazel Atrachali and Manjeet Chhilar in the list.
He has been part of the league right from its inception and played for teams like Patna Pirates, Telugu Titans, Puneri Paltan and U Mumba in the past. Last year he was part of the title-winning Dabang Delhi squad and didn’t show great form as he managed to pick up only 64 points from 24 matches. In the following season he was not retained by the team and was released for the auctions. He eventually found no takers.
Now after UP Yoddhas has picked him up, he will add more value to the side that is currently struggling this season. The team is at the 10th spot on the points table at the moment with just 4 wins from 11 matches. It remains to be seen whether Sandeep would be drafted into the team immediately in their next contest against Haryana Steelers on Friday, 11th November.
