- KL Rahul continued his terrific form in the middle-order.
- His middle-order place will reduce opening woes with Shikhar Dhawan, Ishan Kishan in a three-horse race with Ruturaj Gaikwad.

Earlier, Ajit Agarkar & Wasim Jaffer had said that India should use KL Rahul in the middle-order.
“I think that’s the first thing they need to decide, whether he [KL Rahul] is an opener or a middle-order batter because he captained in South Africa and he opened, which to me, it was a little bit disappointing because he had been successful at the No. 4 or 5 position, that’s the role they were looking at,” he had told Star Sports.
“KL Rahul can bat at No.4. I think he is probably the right guy. He has got the right temperament and right kind of game to bat at No.4 in 50-over cricket. So, I feel that spot can go to KL. It gives you a lot of balance as a team,” Jaffer had told InsideSport.
