Lucknow Super Giants fast bowler Mohsin Khan has decided to enter the Uttar Pradesh T20 League (UPT20 2026) auction ahead of the upcoming edition of the tournament. The pacer, who has been a part of the Kanpur Superstars team for the last two seasons, has decided against being retained by the team. Khan was last seen in action for LSG in IPL 2026 where he picked up 11 wickets in 7 matches and was one of their best bowlers in the season.
Mohsin Khan to enter UPT20 auction
As per The Times of India, Mohsin has decided to enter the UPT20 auction as he wishes to go with the flow and explore. The pacer, who has had a fair share of injuries in the past, has declared that he is completely fit for action. As per the report, Kanpur Superstars were very keen to retain Sameer Rizvi, Adarsh Singh, Shubh, Aaqib Khan, Pankaj and Vineet Panwar apart from Mohsin. However, the pacer informed the franchise that he wishes to enter the auction instead.
“This year, I will go for the auction. I want to explore and go with the flow. I am fit for action,” Mohsin Khan told the publication.
In his first UPT20 season, Mohsin picked up 15 wickets in 11 matches at an economy rate of 6.94. He was retained by the franchise in 2025 but missed the tournament as he was out due to injury. Talking about his journey in the IPL, Moshin Khan has been a part of LSG since 2022. His best season came in his very first year where he bagged 14 scalps in 9 matches. The following year, he played only 5 matches and took 3 wickets. Khan then played 10 games in 2024 after which he missed the entire IPL 2025 campaign due to injury concerns. Despite that, he was retained by LSG ahead of the mini-auction.
In IPL 2026, Mohsin registered his maiden five-wicket haul in the game against Kolkata Knight Riders, finishing with outstanding figures of 5/23. He averaged 20.72 in the season at an economy rate of 8.14.
