Yash Dayal missed the entire IPL 2026 due to reasons galore, but as per a report in the Times of India, the left-arm pacer is all set to return to cricket with the UP T20 League. IN fact, Dayal has been retained by Gorakhpur Lions, and will be available for the entire tournament.

Dayal, who tasted great success for RCB in 2024, and 2025, could not do it for his franchise in the edition gone by, with things not under his control. While there were speculations all around regarding his absence, he clarified on a podcast with Talk with Manvendra, that the decision to stay away from IPL 2026 was taken by the authorities, and not by him. And to watch RCB games from the TV set was even more challenging.

Meanwhile, UPCA secretary Prem Manohar Gupta that Yash Dayal would be given an NOC for domestic and league cricket. “UPCA will give an NOC to Yash Dayal for playing domestic and league cricket because all legal proceedings have been settled,” Gupta said. For the unversed, the pacer had been kept away from cricketing action, since he faces legal charges relating to sexual assault. Nothing has been proven till now.
