Team India has already won the 3-match ODI series against Afghanistan, and now it is time to land the knockout punch, come the final encounter in Chennai, on June 20. Also, this could be a chance for some of the players to get some much-needed game time. Nitish Kumar Reddy — team’s only pace-bowling all-rounder impressed in the first ODI in Dharamsala, with the ball with figures of 2/31, and needs time in the middle with the bat.
Similar is the case with Prasidh Krishna, who only featured in the 1st ODI, and then did not play in Lucknow, despite bowling well. Last on the list is, spinner Harsh Dubey, who should get a look-in too. And that way, it could become one of those series’ that will see all 15 members of the squad, getting 2 games at least. On that note, InsideSport takes a look at the Predicted India playing XI vs Afghanistan for the 3rd ODI.
Draft in Nitish Kumar Reddy in place of Washington Sundar
Washi has played in two matches already, and his performance hasn’t been the best. In Dharamsala he did not get a chance to bat, and with the ball in hand, returned with figures of 0/19. Come the Lucknow match, he scored only 19 where the team scored 402. With the ball he picked up 1/24.
NKR played in the first match, and there he bowled with speed and picked up 2/31. Maybe, he should be tested for his batting as well, and should be sent in at no. 4 or no. 5, just to see, if he can deliver batting that high in the order.

Prasidh Krishna comes in for Arshdeep?
It would be a bold move to keep Arshdeep Singh out for the last ODI, since he has picked up 5 wickets already in the series, but perhaps, it should not be looked as an axing; rather it is only giving an opportunity to another player. In the Dharamsala fixture, he did not pick up a wicket.. but that would not be much of a worry for the Indian team management. He gets a look-in for sure.
Harsh Dubey looked impressive
You pick up three wickets in your debut match, what more do you need. Harsh Dubey looked like an exciting prospect for the team; a player who could bat lower down the order, bowl the tough middle overs. The rotation policy should allow him to get in some more match-time in this series.
