According to Esports Charts, MTC Season 7 recorded over 34,134 PCV, making it the league’s most-watched edition to date. This marks 22% growth over the previous season and reflects the rising popularity of MLBB Esports in Türkiye. The season arrives at a defining moment for the local ecosystem as Istanbul prepares to host the M8 World Championship (M8) in 2027.

The previous edition of MLBB’s flagship international tournament recorded over 5.68 million PCV, making it the most-watched mobile esports tournament in history according to Esports Charts. As the M Series makes its European debut, MTC Season 7’s success reinforces Türkiye’s growing role in MLBB Esports’ global expansion.

Ajay Jilka, Head of Esports – Türkiye, Eastern Europe & Central Asia, and Western Europe at MOONTON Games, said: “MTC’s record-breaking season is important not only because of the numbers, but because it signals a shift in where Türkiye stands within the wider MLBB Esports ecosystem. The scale of support we saw this season—from TESFED, partners, teams, and fans—shows that MLBB Esports is becoming part of the country’s broader sporting and entertainment landscape. As the ecosystem continues to grow ahead of the M8 World Championship in Istanbul, our priority is to ensure this momentum translates into long-term opportunities for local talent, organisations, and the wider industry.”

The Grand Finals also marked a significant moment for MTC with the presence of TESFED. Alper Afşin Özdemir, President of TESFED, delivered the Opening Ceremony speech, reflecting growing institutional recognition of MLBB Esports within Türkiye’s sporting ecosystem. TESFED’s participation at MTC Season 7 also highlights the growing role of MLBB Esports in supporting local talent development and elevating Türkiye’s presence on the international stage.

MrÖzdemir, said: “I’m filled with pride seeing such a large turnout for the MTC Season 7 Grand Finals and I’d like to thank MOONTON Games for bringing this event to life. Next year, Türkiye will host the M8 World Championship, and once again, I’d like to thank MOONTON Games for bringing this prestigious event to Istanbul. Throughout this journey, we’ll continue to support them fully and stand alongside them—both at MTC and M8. As the Turkish Esports Federation, it’s a pleasure to see the community come together at events like this, where the passion and enthusiasm of esports are on full display!”
