India Women will begin the final phase of their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 preparations when they take on West Indies Women in a warm-up fixture on June 8 in Cardiff.
The Harmanpreet Kaur-led side heads into the tournament as the reigning ODI World Cup champions and will love to have a morale-boosting win before their campaign officially begins against Pakistan on June 14 at Edgbaston.
India’s preparations have already gathered momentum after a competitive T20I series against England, and the team will get two more opportunities to test combinations in English conditions. After facing the West Indies, India will take on hosts England in their second warm-up match on June 10.
Historically, India have enjoyed the upper hand against the West Indies in women’s T20Is. The Women in Blue have won 15 of the 24 matches played between the two teams in the format. India also hold a 2-1 advantage over the Caribbean side in Women’s T20 World Cup meetings.
