32 matches will be played across 3 venues from June 20 to July 12 in the 2026 edition of the Maharaja Trophy T20.

Karun Nair has emerged as the most expensive buy at the 2026 Maharaja Trophy T20 auction. The Karnataka State Cricket Association’s premier T20 tournament begins on June 20 in Mysuru as two new franchises enter the fray. Hubballi and Bengaluru will serve as the other two venues, with the final scheduled for July 12 at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium.

KL Rahul goes unsold

India’s Test vice-captain KL Rahul went unsold at the 2026 Maharaja Trophy T20 auction. The reason wasn’t that no franchise was interested but rather unavailability. The wicketkeeper-batter is currently in Mullanpur for the India vs Afghanistan one-off Test. He’ll play ODIs against Afghanistan next week and then fly to England in early July.

Most expensive buys at 2026 Maharaja Trophy T20 auction

  • Karun Nair – INR 18 lakh (Coastal Kings Mangaluru)
  • Smaran Ravichandran – INR 15.75 (Shivamogga Yodhas)
  • Abhinav Manohar – INR 13.50 lakh (Hubli Tigers)
  • Manish Pandey – INR 12.75 (Gulbarga Mystics)
  • Macneil Noronha – INR 12.25 (Gulbarga Mystics)
