Paper Rex has officially eliminated Global Esports from the VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 Playoffs. In the Lower Bracket Final held on May 16, PRX delivered a commanding 3-0 sweep in the Best-of-5 (Bo5) series. With this victory, Paper Rex has secured their spot in the Grand Final.
VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1 Lower Finals: Paper Rex Defeated Global Esports
Map 1: Haven
It all started at Haven, where the team Global Esports selected their map. Though Autumn and UdoTan made their best plays and managed to achieve 16 kills each, Paper Rex dictated the flow of the game, winning the first map with a comfortable 13-6 scoreline.
Map 2: Lotus
The second map, Lotus, was completely dominated by Paper Rex. PRX star Jinggg put on an absolute masterclass, dropping 25 kills and securing a massive 365 ACS (Average Combat Score). Global Esports struggled heavily to defend the bomb sites. PatMen tried to keep GE in the game with 14 kills, but PRX took the map quickly with a 13-4 scoreline.
Map 3: Ascent
Ascent saw GE struggling for survival. The third map was one of tough fights as both teams tried their best to clinch the match. Autumn emerged victorious in leading his team with 25 kills against Paper Rex, which seemed challenging for them.
However, Paper Rex’s pair something and f0rsakeN was too strong to be defeated by GE as something recorded 28 kills and f0rsakeN recorded 27 kills to give Paper Rex a narrow victory of 13-11 in the third map.
The Grand Final Matchup
Global Esports leaves the tournament having performed extremely well in the playoffs. On the other hand, Paper Rex advances to the grand final round of VCT 2026 Pacific Stage 1. They will go against FULL SENSE on May 17, 2023, at 3:30 PM IST.
