Sunrisers Hyderabad are unlikely to make any changes to their playing XI for the game against Gujarat Titans at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday as they aim to take one step closer to the playoffs. Pat Cummins and co. were on a five-match winning streak before losing their penultimate contest against KKR, only to return to winning ways with a resounding 33-run win against PBKS. A win against GT will not only take SRH to the top of the points table but will also ensure that they are all but certain to play in the playoffs.

The surface at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad is reputed to favour the fast-bowlers and batters, and hence they wouldn’t want too much of spinners in their unit. The onus lies on Abhishek Sharma and Travis Head to provide the perfect start for the side with the bat. Sharma has 475 runs from 11 games at an average of 47.50 while his opening partner Head has 361 runs from 11 matches. The success of Kishan and Klaasen, who will bat at number 3 and 4, is equally important for the team’s welfare in the game as well.
While SRH could bring in Smaran Ravichandran, it looks like they might stick with the experienced Aniket Verma instead. Salil, Cummins and Dubey will add to their batting depth.
When it comes to the bowling line-up, pace will play an important role at the Narendra Modi Stadium. Therefore, the attack will be spearheaded by captain Cummins, and will comprise of Saikb, Nitish and Ehsan Malinga – who will be used as an impact player most likely.
