Squad for IND vs AFG Test
The BCCI is expected to field a near full-strength batting lineup, consisting of KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill, and Rishabh Pant, for the one-off Test against Afghanistan in June. Since the match won’t carry WTC points, Jasprit Bumrah isn’t likely to feature. Decisions regarding Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna will be made based on workload reports and fitness feedback. Selectors are also keen to test new bowlers ahead of the Sri Lanka Test series away from home in August.
IND vs BAN series confirmed?
BCB President Tamim Iqbal is hopeful that the relationship between BCCI and BCB will return to normal soon. India is slated to tour Bangladesh in September for 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. The tour was originally planned for August 2025 but was postponed. Tamim hopes his friendship with BCCI President Mithun Manhas will help confirm the series.
BCCI fines RCB coach & player
RCB head coach Andy Flower has been fined 15% of his match fee for committing a Level 1 offence under Article 2.3 of the Code of Conduct for using audible obscenity during his conversation with the fourth umpire in the RCB vs MI match. Tim David has been handed 2 demerit points and fined 30% of his match fee for offensive gestures. However, his charge hasn’t been made official yet.

No IPL players in Australia squad
Australia has announced squads for the upcoming white-ball tours of Pakistan and Bangladesh, starting May 30. Ollie Peake, Liam Scott, and Joel Davies have earned maiden call-ups. Pat Cummins, Travis Head, Cooper Connolly, Ben Dwarshuis, and Xavier Bartlett will stay back in India for IPL 2026. Cameron Green, Josh Inglis, and Mitchell Marsh are available.
England to tour Nepal?
The ECB are planning to tour Nepal in the 2027-31 cycle after their nail-biting clash in the T20 World Cup, where England won by just 4 runs. ECB is awaiting confirmation from the ICC on the change in the WTC format, as 2-match series are expected to be scrapped. The ECB will most likely play Nepal to prepare for a white-ball series against bigger Asian teams like India, Pakistan, or Sri Lanka.
Samson accepted ‘Kishan’ fate
Sanju Samson had accepted his fate. He knew he’d lost his opener spot for the T20 World Cup after Ishan Kishan smashed a hundred against New Zealand in Samson’s hometown before the ICC tournament. He narrated what he said to himself at the moment: ‘Sanju, now you just give it to him. He deserves it more than you do. You got your chances; you didn’t score runs.’
