Lastly, a New Zealand legend will return in 2026.

Pat Cummins fit for action
Pat Cummins has confirmed that he’ll feature in the RR vs SRH match on April 25. The Australian fast bowler wrote, “Been a long time coming, stinging to get back into it tomorrow,” on his social media while sharing stills of him training. What’s to be seen is if Cummins takes over as captain from Ishan Kishan.

Samson won’t keep after…
If and when MS Dhoni is fit for selection, he’ll come straight into the team. CSK batting coach Michael Hussey has confirmed that Dhoni won’t be playing as an impact sub and will be the wicketkeeper once he returns. This means Sanju Samson, who has been keeping until now, will be an outfielder.
