This is Royal Challengers Bengaluru’s game to lose. At the moment, everything around them just feels more settled than Delhi Capitals (DC). Four wins in five, three of those at home, and a bowling attack that is finally doing damage upfront with the return of Josh Hazlewood. Delhi, meanwhile, are coming in after two defeats and still searching for a rhythm that looked promising early on. Put those threads together, and RCB start this contest with a clear edge, especially in their own den – the M Chinnaswamy Stadium.

Chinnaswamy Stadium now suits RCB
For years, Bengaluru was a venue where totals didn’t matter and plans barely lasted an over. That is changing now.
The last game here against LSG was played on a surface that held up, forcing batters to generate pace instead of relying on it. Pitch No. 7, which will be used again. It is what we saw in the tournament opener between RCB and SRH, a track full of runs. A bit of grass, slightly harder underneath, but not quite the flat deck this ground is known for.
This is where RCB have mastered. Their pace unit has been the best in the tournament statistically. Bhuvneshwar Kumar upfront, Hazlewood or Duffy hitting hard lengths, and support from the likes of Rasikh Dar. They are not just containing, but striking early.
Delhi, on the other hand, rely heavily on spin control. Axar Patel and Kuldeep Yadav will come into play if the pitch grips. But here’s the catch. RCB’s top order has been one of the best pace-hitting units this season, striking at 177.61. If Delhi don’t break through early, those middle overs may not even matter.
The Rahul factor, and RCB’s possible counter
KL Rahul’s numbers against RCB are ridiculous. He averages 71.1, with his strike rate touching 144. He knows this ground like home because, well, it is. Last year, we saw his Kantara take over the stadium. But there’s a shift in his game. Since IPL 2025, he has struggled against leg-spin. Dismissed twice in nine innings, scoring at just over 100 against it.
This is where Suyash Sharma becomes crucial. If RCB can bring him on early, preferably inside Rahul’s first 10 balls, they open a real window. Because once Rahul settles here, games tend to slip quickly.

RCB vs DC Match Prediction
Delhi started well. Two wins, almost three. But the last two games have exposed some issues. They haven’t closed games well, and their bowling, despite decent economy numbers, hasn’t created enough pressure in key phases.
Kuldeep’s economy of 9.8 this season is his highest in years. Axar hasn’t contributed enough with either bat or ball yet. And without Mitchell Starc, their attack lacks bite at the death. Although Lungi Ngidi has done well, DC’s bowling unit can be found out against a potent RCB batting. RCB don’t just have momentum but are playing as a well-oiled unit. Their roles are defined, their bowling is working, and their home ground is finally behaving like one. Delhi still have the pieces, but right now, they look like a side searching for rhythm.
Prediction: RCB to beat DC in a close game.
