South Africa Women announce 15-member squad for T20I series vs India; Laura Wolvaardt to lead
The series is scheduled to take place from April 17 till April 27 across three venues.

Cricket South Africa (CSA) on Monday, April 13 announced the Protea Women‘s 15-member squad for the upcoming home T20I series against India. The series, which is scheduled to take place from April 17 till April 27, will see Laura Wolvaardt lead the side as they prepare for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 in England.

The squad, which has seen only a few changes to the one which toured New Zealand earlier this year, has handed a maiden international call-up to Tebogo Macheke. The 25-year-old will take the gloves from injured Karabo Meso. Moreover, the other change sees Eliz-Mari Marx replace Masabata Klaas. Speaking on the squad announcement, their head coach welcomed the two new faces while looking ahead of the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

We are excited to welcome Eliz-Mari and Tebogo to the group, and we are looking forward to seeing how they contribute to the team as we continue the journey towards the T20 World Cup. As a team, we are always looking to evolve, and the introduction of new voices brings fresh perspective and renewed energy to the group,” head coach Mandla Mashimbyi said.
