Some good news might be coming KKR’s way finally. All-rounder Sunil Narine had missed the match vs PBKS due to an illness, but now he seems to have fully recovered. As per a release by the team, the Caribbean player trained ahead of the clash with LSG on April 9. The release further stated that Varun Chakravarthy, who had sustained a finger injury, might still not be fully fit to play.
Sunil Narine fit to play
“Sunil had fallen ill on the morning of our match vs PBKS, ‘cause of which he wasn’t a part of the XI. He has since been feeling better, and trained with the team both yesterday and today – batted and bowled. Varun had injured the little finger on his left hand while taking Abhishek’s catch in the match vs SRH.
“The medical team has been working closely with him. He bowled his full set at training today. About their participation in tomorrow’s game vs LSG – we will know tomorrow at toss.”
On the other hand, Cameron Green, who was bought for a record price of INR 25.2 Cr INR, is all set to bowl against LSG. As per various reports, he was to get a clean chit from Cricket Australia, and that seems to have happened now. He too will be bowling against Lucknow Super Giants.
But then, KKR will have to wait further to get the services of Matheesha Pathirana. The Sri Lankan bowler is yet to join the team, as he hasn’t cleared the fitness test. Blessing Muzarabani is all set to continue.
