We’ve got injury and availability updates regarding Dewald Brevis, MS Dhoni, and Mitchell Starc. The PSL has been struck with controversy and unfortunate injury. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Yashasvi Jaiswal terrorised bowlers in Guwahati. Lastly, should the BCCI introduce another policy regarding foreign players in the IPL?

MS Dhoni out for another week
MS Dhoni is expected to miss CSK’s next two home matches on April 11 and 14. The wicketkeeper had sustained a calf injury during IPL 2026 pre-season training. Dhoni needs about a week to recover, after which he’ll undergo a fitness assessment. Meanwhile, Dewald Brevis is expected to return against the Delhi Capitals.

Suryavanshi vs Bumrah
Vaibhav Suryavanshi faced off Jasprit Bumrah for the first time in his short career, and guess what, he hit him for a six on the first ball. The teenager scored 13 off 5 against Bumrah and 39 off 14 in total. However, it was Yashasvi Jaiswal who turned out to be the best batter of the day. He remained unbeaten on 77, scoring 38 in the powerplay itself.

BCCI should ban Cameron Green?
Sunil Gavaskar has suggested that the BCCI bring a new ban, replacement, or withdrawal policy for foreign players who can’t fulfill the roles they were originally bought for. Citing Cameron Green’s inability to bowl, Gavaskar stated that it’s unfair for IPL franchises to do away with players who aren’t ready to give them their all.
