All the mega plans, expansion to newer venues, will be on hold for the Pakistan Super League. As the fuel crisis hits Pakistan, PSL 2026 will adopt a “fcous mode” with better broadcasting quality for fans who won’t be in the stadiums this time. Invoking the Covid-19 pandemic era restrictions, the Pakistan Cricket Board will host matches in Karachi and Lahore, deviating from the six venues originally planned. As it saves fuel that would have been spent on logistics, the PCB has opted for a better viewing experience with up to 4K broadcast.
The focus mode is similar to JioHotstar’s multi-angle view. As a result, the fans will now be able to switch between bowler camera, batter’s view and field perspective. With the newer broadcast setup in place for the tournament that begins on March 26, the PCB has also announced a revised schedule for PSL 2026 and a star-studded commentary panel.
What are the facilities of the newly introduced ‘Focus Mode’ in PSL 2026?
The ‘Focus Mode’ caters to several aspects, including a better quality of broadcast and a more immersive experience for the digital audience.
- Provides multi-angle viewing like the IPL. As a result, fans will be able to switch between bowler camera, batter view and field perspective.
- Will provide 4K streaming
- Bring in real-time stats and multiple commentary feeds, a prominent feature of JioHotstar.
- Turn on empty stadiums into digital advantage.
- Raw on-field audio from the players
Who all are part of PSL 2026’s commentary panel?
While the PCB had plans for multi-language commentary for the PSL 2026, it is now on hold as well. Instead, PSL will stick to bilingual commentary in Urdu and English.

Can you watch PSL 2026 in India?
Unfortunately, there will be no live streaming or broadcast of PSL 2026 in India. In fact, the PCB did not even make the TV or digital rights available for the Indian market, owing to tensions between the two neighbours. However, PSL is planning to broadcast PSL matches on YouTube for select markets.
