In the 70th game of IPL 2013, CSK won the toss and invited the home team to bat first. The then skipper of the side, Virat Kohli played a blitz knock of unbeaten 56 off 29 deliveries to help the side post 106/2 in their 8 overs in a rain-marred game. In reply, CSK fought bravely with their star-studded lineup but could only get 82/6 in the 8 overs. Murali Vijay was the highest scorer for them that night, but could not help them finish over the line. With this, RCB only one edged over CSK, but also kept their playoff hopes alive, thus ticking a box.
