Donovan Ferreira
One of key players featuring in this list, includes Donovan Ferreira. While the Proteas all-rounder made occasional appearances for the national side, he mainly represented franchises across different leagues. While playing for Joburg Super Kings in SA20 2025-26, Ferreira could only score 103 runs across 8 innings whereas his role was limited in The Hundred.
Although he had a mixed 2025-26 season in T20 cricket, his standout performance came in Major League Cricket (MLC) 2025, where he scored 248 runs in 9 matches at an average of 41.33. Although he was being considered for a spot in South Africa’s squad for T20 World Cup 2026, but a shoulder injury kept him off the field.
Ravi Bishnoi
Ravi Bishnoi has a mixed T20 season in 2025-26, marked by a difficult IPL with the Lucknow Super Giants, where he could only manage 9 wickets at an expensive economy in 11 matches. However, he made a comeback in domestic cricket. In the SMAT 2025-26, Bishnoi took 9 wickets in 7 games, showing improved control of the ball and as a result was rewarded India call-up for New Zealand T20Is. But the Rajasthan-born struggles to maintain consistency with the ball in hand and thus features in the list.
Nandre Burger
Nandre Burger had a developing season in 2025–26, continuing to establish himself as a promising left-arm fast bowler across international matches and franchise leagues. Known for his ability to swing the new ball and generate steep bounce, Burger played over 20 T20Is where he finished with close to 30 wickets. While he continues to struggle for a spot, consistency and form remains to be the biggest bother.
