The runners-up of the last season, Punjab Kings, will begin their IPL 2026 campaign against Gujarat Titans at home, in Mullanpur, on March 31. PBKS will play four home games in Mullanpur, New Chandigarh and the remaining three in Dharamshala. After the first home game, they will play two back-to-back away games in Chennai and Kolkata on April 3 and 6 before returning home to take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on April 11.
PBKS will aim to take advantage of their scheduling as Shreyas Iyer will host three consecutive matches in Dharamshala at the fag end of the league stage. If they can clear the Dharamshala hurdle, a playoff berth would be within their grasp. The BCCI announced the IPL 2026 full schedule on March 26 after unveiling Phase 1 on March 11.
Last season gave a lot of hope to PBKS that they can do well in IPL 2026. Under Ricky Ponting’s guidance and Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, PBKS topped the league stages with 9 wins to enter the playoffs. But Punjab Kings could not just come up with a win when it mattered the most in the final. Nonetheless, Shreyas Iyer & Co have the ammunition and the firepower to go the distance come the latest season of IPL, when proceedings begin on March 28.
