Sunrisers Hyderabad will begin their IPL 2026 campaign on the opening day, on March 28, against the defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru. SRH will play their first home game on April 5 against Lucknow Super Giants. It will be a day game. With Pat Cummins out of the first half of the IPL, Ishan Kishan will lead SRH in his absence.
SRH will aim to make amends to their disappointing campaign last season when they finished 6th, missing out on the playoff spot. With Ishan Kishan and Abhishek Sharma in prime form, SRH will be a scary sight for the bowlers.
On Thursday, the BCCI released the remainder of the IPL 2026 schedule, comprising 50 matches, with that phase starting on April 13. The playoff details are yet to be revealed.
