Rajasthan Royals will begin their IPL 2026 campaign on March 30, against Chennai Super Kings at their adopted new home, Guwahati. With Riyan Parag making his full-time captaincy debut, it will be a feast for the Assamese fanbase of RR. While RR are expected to play some games in Jaipur, they will play as many as three home games in the first phase. After their opening game, RR will travel to Ahmedabad to take on Gujarat Titans. Then, they will have two consecutive home games against Mumbai Indians and defending champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru in Guwahati.
The Royals may have to play their last few home games in Jaipur as Assam will go to the polls. The final IPL 2026 schedule will be out after the announcement of election dates in West Bengal, Assam, and Tamil Nadu
RR will aim to overcome the disappointments of the last season, when they finished 9th with just four wins. With Sanju Samson moving to Chennai Super Kings following a mega trade deal, also involving Ravindra Jadeja and Sam Curran, it will be a testing season for Rajasthan Royals.
The Jaipur-based franchise overhauled their coaching staff, as well as the squad for IPL 2026. While they retained their Indian core, they also strengthened their spin department with Ravi Bishnoi.
