For now, the IPL season is expected to begin in end of March, and the Chennai outfit is about to kickstart the proceedings with a 10-day camp at first. Much to the joy of the fans, 44-year-old MS Dhoni will be part of the camp as well.
MS Dhoni to attend CSK camp
Dhoni’s contribution has diminished slightly, and the fans would like to see a lot more from him. In the last two years, 196 & 161 runs, batting lower down the order.
Meanwhile, other players include the likes of skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad, Urvil Patel, Kartik Sharma, and Prashant Veer. For the last couple of seasons, CSK have not really lived up to the expectations, and finished a poor 10th in IPL 2025. Meanwhile, all eyes will be on two youngsters this year — Kartik and Prashant — for whom, the management ended up spending a staggering 28.40 Cr.
It is still not clear, as to when the other players will join the camp. Stars like Shivam Dube, Jamie Overton, Sanju Samson, Akeal Hossein, Matt Henry, are all busy with the T20 World Cup, and should be free by next week only. Apart from that, the BCCI is yet to announce the full schedule of the tournament, given the assembly elections in different parts of the country.
