India’s got some concerns. From player availability and player usage to role definition. Questions have been raised over Gautam Gambhir’s ways. Dates of the next India vs Pakistan match are out. And venue drama in the T20 World Cup 2026 continues.

Rinku Singh returns home
Rinku Singh has returned home from Chennai before the India vs Zimbabwe match. Reports suggest that Rinku’s father has been undergoing treatment for cancer for almost a year, and his condition has worsened. As of now, it’s uncertain whether Rinku will rejoin the team, and if so, then when.

T20 World Cup venue confusion
The venue for the first T20 World Cup semifinal has not been confirmed yet. Originally, it was decided that Kolkata would host the game; if Pakistan qualifies, then Colombo will host it. However, another stipulation has been added. If Sri Lanka qualifies and has to face India, it’ll be hosted in Colombo. If they qualify but don’t face India, then it’ll be in Kolkata.

Bumrah usage concern
Suryakumar Yadav misuses Jasprit Bumrah. That’s what Mohammad Kaif thinks. The former Indian cricketer believes that Bumrah should bowl one over in the middle phase. It’s a tactic Rohit Sharma employed, but Suryakumar doesn’t. Kaif thinks the misuse of Bumrah is one of the reasons why India lost to South Africa.

IND vs PAK match on June 14
The ICC has announced the schedule for the Women’s T20 World Cup 2026, to be played in England. India is placed in Group 1 with Australia, South Africa, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. Harmanpreet Kaur’s team will commence their campaign against Pakistan on June 14 in Edgbaston.

Gambhir politicising cricket
Former Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad believes Kuldeep Yadav didn’t play against South Africa because India head coach Gautam Gambhir has brought politics into the Indian dressing room. Shehzad also slagged Gambhir for stacking the lineup with left-handed batters and believes that under him, India isn’t utilising their resources.

Bat like Kohli
Kaif also opined on Tilak Varma. He believes the southpaw should follow the approach Virat Kohli applied for all those years in T20I cricket. Kaif wants Tilak to anchor the innings, allowing others to explode around him while he consolidates. He thinks one player should take the game deep, and Tilak is the perfect man for that job.
