Do Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir see eye to eye? India has a positive Washington Sundar update, but two other health-related concerns. ICC held a meeting with PCB and BCB in Lahore. Mohammed Siraj thought he was getting pranked after Suryakumar Yadav called him. And Nepal nearly upset England in Mumbai.

DRS 1

Washington Sundar injury update

Washington Sundar will join India’s squad for the Namibia match on February 12 in Delhi. Suryakumar Yadav provided the necessary update after India beat the USA in Mumbai. Washington had suffered a side strain along with a mild rib fracture on January 11 and hasn’t played any cricket since.

ICC-PCB meeting

ICC has sent two representatives to Lahore to change PCB’s stance on boycotting the India vs Pakistan match in the T20 World Cup. BCB President Aminul Islam Bulbul was also present for the meeting. Despite the discussions, it’ll be the Pakistani government that decides whether Pakistan plays India or not.

No Kohli vs Gambhir?

It’s a common belief online that Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir don’t see eye to eye. Both have had on-field altercations twice in the IPL, and following Kohli’s Test retirement, Gambhir was blamed. However, the BCCI Secretary Devajit Saikia has refuted such claims and stated both have a ‘cordial relationship’.

2 Indians player fall sick

Jasprit Bumrah looked ragged while warming the bench against the USA. Why? Well, because he had a high fever. It was visible from the television itself that Bumrah wasn’t 100%, and that’s why he was rested. Abhishek Sharma, too, was unwell. He had a stomach bug, and perhaps that’s why he registered a maiden duck.

Nepal’s jumpscare to England

Nepal was just one boundary away from upsetting England in the T20 World Cup. The Rhinos were in the match until the last ball but fell 4 runs short of chasing down 185 in Mumbai. After the match, Nepal fast bowler Nandan Yadav expressed belief within the team about qualifying for the Super 8 stage.

DRS 6

Siraj got pranked?

Mohammed Siraj thought Suryakumar Yadav was joking when he called him up and told him to get ready to play in the T20 World Cup. You see, Siraj hadn’t played T20Is since July 2024. He still wasn’t sure whether Suryakumar was serious. But right after their chat finished, selector Pragyan Ojha called him and confirmed it.
