After sealing the series with three straight wins, India return to Visakhapatnam with a different objective and that is to fine-tune combinations ahead of the T20 World Cup 2026. The fourth T20I against New Zealand, scheduled for Wednesday night, offers one of the final opportunities to iron out grey areas, with Sanju Samson’s form and bowling rotations firmly in focus.

Vizag has history with Indian comebacks. In November 2023, it hosted a high-scoring T20I against Australia just days after India’s ODI World Cup heartbreak. This time, the mood is very different. India look settled, confident, and ruthless, having out-batted New Zealand in all three games so far.

With Lockie Ferguson nearing a return and James Neesham settling in, New Zealand have something to look forward as well. They were clueless against India’s blitzkrieg in the first three games and hope fortunes turn their way tonight.

Vizag pitch report: IND vs NZ

The ACA-VDCA Stadium is traditionally a good batting surface, though early swing is always in play due to the coastal conditions. The ground sits about 50 metres above sea level, aiding some movement with the new ball. The last T20I here saw India chase down 209 against Australia, and another high-scoring contest is likely. Dew is not expected to play a major role.

Vizag weather report

Clear conditions are forecast for the evening, with temperatures hovering around the mid-20s. Humidity will be present, but rain is not expected.
