Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) have appointed Dishant Yagnik as their fielding coach for the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 season. The former wicketkeeper batter played for Rajasthan Royals (RR) from 2011 to 2014 and transitioned into their fielding coach in 2018.
KKR add fielding coach
Last year, RR reshuffled their staff after an underwhelming IPL season. Rahul Dravid left as head coach, while RR parted ways with spin-bowling coach Sairaj Bahutule and Yagnik. KKR have made several changes themselves. Head coach Chandrakant Pandit, bowling coach Bharat Arun and spin bowling coach Carl Crowe have all moved on.
Yagnik is the latest addition to KKR’s coaching staff. After IPL 2025, Abhishek Nayar has been promoted from assistant to head coach after Pandit’s departure. Shane Watson assumed Nayar’s old role. Tim Southee has replaced Arun, while Andre Russell has retired from the IPL and is becoming a power-hitting coach for them.
