Daryl Mitchell has 845 ranking points and tops the charts, followed by Virat Kohli at 795 points.

It was only last week, that ace India batter Virat Kohli had regained the World No. 1 ODI ranking after a gap of five years; but the joy was short-lived for the fans, as in the latest list, he has been surpassed by New Zealand batter Daryl Mitchell, who scored 352 runs in the three-match series vs India.

In comparison, Virat Kohli scored 240 runs in three innings, and now both the batters have switched spots from last week. The Kiwi, with his sublime form has also taken a sizeable lead in the ranking points over Kohli, and has 845 to his name. As far as the other Indians in the list are concerned, Rohit Sharma dropped out of the top 3, and now is no. 4 on the list. Skipper Shubman Gill stays put at no. 5.

KL Rahul, meanwhile rose a spot to be the new no. 10 in the world, while Shreyas Iyer dropped a rung to 11. Coming to the bowlers, Kuldeep Yadav is the only Indian in top 10. After a lukewarm IND vs NZ series, where he could only manage three wickets, he has now dropped three spots to no. 7. Rashid Khan continues to lead the list.

The next Indian on the list is Mohammed Siraj, at no. 14, followed by Ravindra Jadeja at 25, and Shami at 26. Harshit Rana took a giant leap of 27 spots to be the new no 50. Surprisingly, Jasprit Bumrah doesn’t fall in top 100, maybe because he doesn’t play the format as much.

Now, India does not play ODIs for another six months, with the T20 season starting now; first up will be the T20 World Cup, followed by two months of IPL 2026. They next play an ODI in July vs England.
