Reckoned as one of the premier domestic tournaments, especially when it comes to the one-day format, Vijay Hazare Trophy has showcased most remarkable batting displays over the years. Since its inception, the tournament has seen a handful of batters amp up their performances with prolific hundreds and consistency with the bat to enter record books.
Majorly the tournament has seen some of the other batter stand out every years, there have been a few who have made their mark with their hundreds. As we take a look at the players with most centuries in a single edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy, which saw a new entrant this year, has seen Narayan Jagadeesan sit at the top with joint-most hundreds, which came in the 2022-23 season.

Prithvi Shaw (4 centuries – VHT 2020-21)
Prithvi Shaw, who was once looked upon as the next Sachin Tendulkar in India, registered his name in record books after his batting exploits in the 2020-21 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Then representing Mumbai in the domestic circuit, Shaw piled up 827 runs in eight matches in the 2020-21 edition of VHT, which also included four centuries, which is the joint second most in a single edition of the domestic cricket tournament.
Virat Kohli (4 centuries – VHT 2008-08)
Virat Kohli, a name which cannot be missed while discussing cricket in international arena, announced his arrival in the domestic circuit in the 2008-09 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy. Playing for Delhi, the veteran batter hit four centuries while amassing 534 runs in seven matches of the 2008-09 edition, which is second most in a single VHT edition.
Aman Mokhade (5 centuries – VHT 2025-26)
With the 2025-26 edition of the Vijay Hazare Trophy underway, Vidarbha’s Aman Mokhade etched a new feat as he joined the likes of Narayan Jagadeesan and Karun Nair to have scored most centuries in a single edition. Continuing Vidarbha’s rich batting tradition, Aman Mokhade has so far scored 781 runs in this edition from nine games and is the highest run-scorer in the 2025-26 season.
Karun Nair (5 centuries – VHT 2024-25)
Before Aman Mokhade joined the elite list, Karun Nair’s five centuries which came in Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024-25, got him to join Narayan Jagadeesan in the list of players to score most centuries in a single edition of the domestic tournament. Nair saw resurgence with the bat in 2024-25 season while featuring for Vidarbha. In nine matches, he amassed 779 runs, including five hundreds.
Narayan Jagadeesan (5 centuries – VHT 2022-23)
While Aman Mokhade and Karun Nair have been the recent additions to the list, Tamil Nadu batter Narayan Jagadeesan was the first to score five centuries in a single edition of Vijay Hazare Trophy. The top-order batter scored 830 runs in eight matches, scoring five hundreds, thus establishing himself in the domestic cricket circles.
