Former India cricketer, Shikhar Dhawan, once again grabbed limelight after he confirmed engagement with Sophie Shine. The former Indian opener, on Monday, January 12 exchanged rings with his girlfriend, with whom he made his relationship public just months ago in May 2025.
Dhawan, who earlier married Ayesha Mukherji but divorced her later, has been with Sophie Shine for over two years. However, the couple have garnered immense love over these times.
Shine was first spotted in the stands during Punjab Kings games in IPL 2024. However, after Dhawan called it quits from international cricket, the couple made an appearance together during the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 in Dubai and have been amidst talks since then.

However, Shine does not hail from cricketing background, but belongs to the corporate world. As per the details available on her LinkedIn profile, she is serving as the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Da One Ground since July 2025 and also heads Shikhar Dhawan Foundation – a charitable trust extending philanthropic initiatives. Prior to that, Shine worked at the Northern Trust Corporation as a product consultant and got promoted as the second Vice-President in October 2022.
Speaking of her educational background, the Ireland-born 35-year-old has been a graduate of the Limerick Institute of Technology where she received her degree in Marketing and Management after completing her studies at the Castleroy College. Following her education, she began at Debenhams as a Financial Operations Supervisor along with a Credit Union Officier at Cahardarvin District Credit Union, and then started her own client service company in March 2018.
While speaking of her, the celebrity has garnered attention since her relationship with Dhawan was confirmed, now boosting a social media presence on Instagram with over 348K followers. If reports are to be believed, Sophie is soon set to tie a knot with Shikhar Dhawan this year.
