Gill opens up on snub
Shubman Gill has talked about his snub from India’s squad for the T20 World Cup. The Indian ODI and Test captain admitted feeling gutted about missing out on playing an ICC event at home. But he stated that he respects the selectors’ decision and hopes India lifts the trophy.
ICC unimpressed with BCB
The ICC isn’t satisfied with BCB’s reasoning behind the request for relocating their T20 World Cup matches out of India. BCB had cited ‘security concerns’ for denying to send Bangladesh’s cricket team to India. But hasn’t found any valid reason to rule in favour of BCB, since India has hosted ICC events in the past with no issues whatsoever.
Rishabh Pant injured
On the eve of the India vs New Zealand 1st ODI, Rishabh Pant suffered a blow above his waist during batting practice at the BCA Stadium’s Ground B. Pant was treated by the medical staff at the ground, but had to leave practice. At the moment, it’s uncertain whether he’ll be fit for selection.

Test changes coming
Shubman Gill has confirmed that he’d urged BCCI to hold 15-ball practice camps before every home red-ball series. The Test captain explained that Team India didn’t get enough time to prepare for the West Indies and South Africa series, and these camps will help them win matches, both home and away.
Samson’s new coach
After training Shubman Gill and Abhishek Sharma, Yuvraj Singh has become a ‘coach’ for Sanju Samson. The 2-time World Cup winner took the Punjab cricketers under his tutelage, and both have shone bright in international cricket. Before the India vs New Zealand T20I series, Samson had also turned towards Yuvraj.
RCB coach to join England?
Former England captain Kevin Pietersen has suggested Andy Flower as a potential replacement for Brendon McCullum. Flower, who’s currently the head coach of RCB and London Spirits, was England’s head coach when they won the 2010-11 Ashes in Australia and became the number one Test team.
