The pre-series camp had commenced on January 7 at the BCA Stadium in Kotambi. While the other players fine-tuned themselves in the nets, Shreyas and Pant were playing actual matches. According to Sportstar, the duo is expected to train on January 10, the eve of the India vs New Zealand 1st ODI.

Shreyas has been granted fitness clearance, but he’ll be extra cautious. There’s no need to put strain on his body, especially after sitting out for 3 months. Pant might hit the nets alongside other players. However, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli could decide to rest.
