The craze to see the India cricket team, Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli in action in the IND vs NZ 1st ODI as tickets for the game were sold out in minutes. The game will mark the duo’s first international game in 2026 and their first since the series against South Africa in December 2025. The series against New Zealand will begin from January 11 onwards and will be followed by a T20I series.
IND vs NZ 1st ODI online tickets sold out
The online sale of tickets for the IND vs NZ 1st ODI went live on BookMyShow website and application on January 1. As per reports, the tickets on the platform were sold out in just 8 minutes, reflecting the craze of the fans to watch Rohit and Kohli in action. It is pertinent to point out that the tickets available on online has only been sold out. The dates for offline booking of tickets are yet to be announced.
Rohit and Virat are active only in ODIs having retired from T20Is in 2024 and Tests in 2025. The duo have been in red-hot form off late, delivering sensational performances in the series against Australia and South Africa. Ro-Ko have so far proved chief selector Ajit Agarkar wrong after he claimed that they were non-committal for the World Cup in 2027 and have shown that their form is least impacted by the fact that they are active in just one format.
India cricket team squad for the three-match ODI series will be announced on January 3. India bounced back after a 1-2 loss in Down Under against Australia with a 2-1 win against South Africa in their last 50-over assignment.
