Harbhajan remarked that Ro-Ko scoring centuries was itself a big deal and that it wasn't just an ordinary practice session.

Former Indian cricketer Harbhajan Singh lauded Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma for scoring hundreds in the first round matches of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 on Wednesday. The veteran duo returned to the domestic 50-over tournament after over a decade and wasted no time in creating impact for the respective teams. Following their knocks, Harbhajan remarked that Ro-Ko scoring centuries was itself a big deal and that it wasn’t just an ordinary practice session.

Harbhajan lauds outstanding Ro-Ko

In a video on his Youtube channel, Harbhajan claimed that it did not mater against whom Rohit and Virat had scored centuries while pointing out that it had a become a habit for the duo to do so as they knew how to score runs.

And both of them are scoring runs, which is a good sign. It doesn’t matter who you are playing against, but what matters are the conditions on the ground. This isn’t net practice. Scoring a hundred here is a big deal in itself. It becomes a habit, a good habit. When you know how to score runs, when you know how to make hundreds, that’s a good habit to have. It doesn’t matter whether you are playing domestic cricket, international cricket, or even fewer matches, because that same thing is what you carry forward. And for them today, this is a really big thing,” Harbhajan said.

Playing his first VHT match in over 15 years, Virat Kohli cracked an impressive century against Andhra at the BCCI Centre of Excellence Ground 1. Rohit Sharma one-upped Kohli against Sikkim. Chasing just 237, the opener remained unbeaten at 155, as Mumbai won in just 30.3 overs. The 38-year-old got to his fifty in just 28 balls and reached his 37th List A hundred from just 62 balls.
