Catch details about Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma's next Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) matches for Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

Just by the presence of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT) is in the headlines. India’s premier 50-over domestic tournament saw the return of the two giants and expectedly, the duo showcased why it is a cakewalk for them to play in this format. While one broke Sachin Tendulkar’s record, the other whalloped a sensational 150 in Jaipur.

Vijay Hazare Trophy comebacks for Rohit, Kohli

Virat Kohli made a remarkable comeback for Delhi for the first time since 2010. That means he had his entire Test career sandwiched between his two appearances in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. And what did he do? Dominate. Chasing 299, he produced a commanding 131 off 101 balls, his 50 coming in 39 deliveries and his hundred in 83, steering Delhi to 300 for 6 in just 37.4 overs.

Those impactful strokes were there to be seen (by reporters) who were present. It was a shame that the match wasn’t live streamed and no fans were there since it moved out of M Chinnaswamy Stadium to BCCI’s CoE.

Meanwhile, Rohit Sharma showed everyone why he is world’s No. 1 ranked ODI batter. After getting his fifty in just 28 balls, Rohit continued his dominance in the run-chase and single-handedly won Mumbai the game. He slammed 155 runs off 94 balls, delighting the crowd at SMS in Jaipur. As a result, the target of 237 runs was chased down in just 30.3 overs. The former Indian captain hammered bowlers with utter disdain, clamouring 18 fours and 9 huge sixes.

When will Kohli and Rohit play next?

Now, the biggest question among fans is when their favourite superstar will play next in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT). Will they really play again? Well, fortunately for fans, this wasn’t just a one-off appearance. Instead, both Kohli and Rohit are selected for a minimum of two Vijay Hazare Trophy games for Delhi and Mumbai, respectively.

Hence, they are scheduled to play in the second round of matches as well. For those unaware, the second round of games will be played on December 26, Friday. While Delhi is placed in Group D, Mumbai are in Group C. Both teams are on top of their respective points table as of now. Unfortunately for fans, once again, you won’t be able to watch them play live as BCCI has not made any preparations to live stream Mumbai and/or Delhi’s second VHT match as well.
