Karnataka cricket team completed the second highest run-chase in List A cricket in the game against Jharkhand in their Vijay Hazare Trophy opener on Wednesday. The team, led by Mayank Agarwal, were tasked to chase down a 413-run total by Ishan Kishan and co. which they managed to chase down in 47.3 overs. A 147-run knock by Devdutt Padikkal, along with half-centuries from Agarwal and Abhinav Manohar helped Karnataka chase down the target with five wickets to spare.

Karnataka registered the second highest run-chase in List A cricket, overtaking Queensland’s 402-run chase against Tasmania back in 2014/2015. To date, the highest run-chase in List A cricke belongs to South Africa and it came against Australia in Johannesburg when they chased down 438 runs in 2005/06.
