Bihar cricket team have created history by recording the highest innings total in the history of List A cricket. Vaibhav Suryavanshi and co. achieved the feat in their Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 tournament opener against Arunachal Pradesh on December 24. Bihar went past Tamil Nadu’s previous best of 506/2, finishing with a mammoth 1st innings total of 574/6.

Tamil Nadu previously held the record for the highest total in a List A game, having amassed a mammoth 506/2 1st innings total in the game against Arunachal Pradesh in 2022. However, Suryavanshi’s fiery 190-run knock helped Bihar get off to a flying start, with the team breaching the 200-run mark within the 1st 15 overs.
