Mumbai Indians went on to retain almost all of their players for the IPL 2026 season. That meant, coming into the IPL auction 2026, they had only a purse of 2.75 Cr only. But still they had five remaining slots. So, come the IPL auction 2026, they made a spectacular first purchase of the day, as they got South Africa keeper Quinton de Kock for only 1 Cr.
The team did not have a huge purse anyways, and had to only get a few players for cheap. They were careful in who they bid for, and went for players like Danish Malewar, Mohammad Izhar, Atharva Ankolekar and Mayak Rawat. That ended the IPL auction 2026 for the Hardik Pandya-led side.
