Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Cameron Green has claimed that he will be available to bowl in the tournament as well

Australia cricket team star Cameron Green has clarified that he is available to take part in IPL 2026 as an all-rounder and not just as a pure batter. His remarks come after he has been slotted in set number 1 as a pure batter in the mini-auction for a base price of Rs 2 crore. Ahead of the IPL 2026 auction, Green has claimed that he will be available to bowl in the tournament as well, something that the teams will take note of, especially with just two days left for the auction.

Green blames manager for mix-up before IPL 2026 auction

Speaking to reporters in Adelaide during a training session before the Ashes 3rd Test, Green blame his manager for his ‘stuff up’ in registering the star as a batter instead of an all-rounder for the IPL 2026 auction. He said that his manager had simply clicked the wrong box. Green categorically stated that he is all clear to bowl in IPL 2026, which will come as quite a relief for multiple teams who are eyeing to bag the all-rounder in the mini-auction.

I’ll be good to bowl. I don’t know if my manager would like to hear this, but there was a stuff-up on his end. He didn’t mean to say ‘batter’. I think he accidentally selected the wrong box. It was pretty funny how it’s all played out, but it was actually a stuff-up on his end,’ Green said.

Green made his IPL debut in 2023 where he amassed 452 runs and bagged six wickets for Mumbai Indians. He was then traded to RCB in IPL 2024 where he managed to score 255 runs and picked 10 wickets. The following year, Cameron did not take part in the IPL 2025 mega auction as he had gone under the knife for a back injury and was recovering. Now, not only is Green set to return to the IPL but is also touted to become the most-expensive player at the IPL 2026 auction.
