The sizzling opener took the UAE bowlers to the cleaners as he breached the 150-run mark in just 8x deliveries in India’s tournament opener in Dubai. Vaibhav Suryavanshi slams 150 in U19 Asia Cup opener
It took just 83 deliveries for young Vaibhav to go past the 150-run mark in the game against UAE on Friday. Suryavanshi reached the milestone in style with a boundary off Yayin Rai in the 29th over. By the time he reached the 150-run mark, the Indian opener had slammed 7 fours and 13 sixes, maintaining a strike rate over 180.
Batting first in the contest, Vaibhav provided the perfect start for India U19, stitching together a 212-run partnership with Aaron George. The youngster reached his century in just 56 deliveries, putting up yet another classy performance.
UAE won the toss and decided to field first in the contest against India on Friday. While they did manage to get rid of captain Ayush Mhatre cheaply, they were simply unable to stop Suryavanshi and George (69).
