Nitish Kumar Reddy breathed fire in Andhra’s Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2025 Super League game against Madhya Pradesh on Friday. The all-rounder, who recently rejoined the Andhra side after the conclusion of the IND vs SA ODI series, created instant impact on his arrival, rattling MP’s top-order. Reddy bagged a hat-trick to put Madhya Pradesh on the backfoot early on in their run-chase.
Nitish Reddy bags hat-trick in SMAT
Nitish’s first victim was Harsh Gawali as he was clean bowled by the all-rounder for 5 runs. In the next delivery, the bowler got rid of Harpreet Singh for a golden duck as the batter was caught out by Ricky Bhui. Reddy then completed his hat-trick off his next delivery as he dismissed MP captain Rajat Patidar for a golden duck.
Nitish Reddy had a good outing with the bat as well, finishing as the second highest run-scorer in the SMAT Super League game against MP on Friday. Although he played a slow-paced 25-run knock off 27 deliveries, his contributions helped Andhra reach a face-saving 112-run total before they were bowled out. Prior to his hat-trick, Nitish only had 8 wickets from 37 games in T20s, with a best of 2/17.
In response, MP got off to the worst possible start in the run-chase, losing wickets in a heap early on in the innings.
