Virat Kohli is surely giving his 100% as he stormed his way to his 52nd ODI 100 in the IND vs SA 1st ODI

India cricket team star Virat Kohli’s sublime form in the 50-over format continues as he scored his 52nd ODI hundred in the IND vs SA 1st ODI in Ranchi. The number three batter hammered a fifty off 102 deliveries as he piled up more misery on the South African bowlers on Sunday. Kohli’s hundred comes at a time when there are speculations over his future in ODIs, given his age and the rumours over his availability for the World Cup in 2027.

Virat Kohli has still got it

Kohli reached his 52nd ODI hundred in the 38th over. He has struck 5 sixes and 7 fours en route to this century. After suffering two consecutive ducks in the first two ODIs against Australia, Kohli bounced back to form with an unbeaten knock in the 3rd ODI and his fine form spilled over in the IND vs SA 1st ODI.

“You get stronger, mentally and physically by putting in the work. It’s a constant process everyday in your life and it’s not just cricket. Look, I’ve been very sure of the fact that when I make myself available to play, I give my 100%.capacity. That’s how I have always played my cricket. I’ve never arrived to a series at 95%,” Kohli said.

There has been a lot of talk about Kohli’s future in the ODIs. Prior to the Australia series, chief selector Ajit Agarkar had claimed that Rohit Sharma and Kohli were non-committal towards playing the World Cup. However, the duo have proved the selectors wrong with their fine form in the 50-over format so far. After an unbeaten 74-run knock against Australia in the 3rd ODI, Kohli’s fine form in the 50-over format continues as he torments the Proteas bowlers this time around.
